Hope for Restoration (Day 48)

Read Jeremiah 31:1-14

This promise is to all the families of Israel, not only to the tribe of Judah. The restoration will include all people who trust God.
God reaches toward His people with kindness motivated by deep and everlasting love. He is eager to do the best for them if they will only let Him. After many words of warning about sin, this reminder of God’s magnificent love is a breath of fresh air. Rather than thinking of God with dread, look carefully and see Him lovingly drawing us toward Himself.

Verse 14 means that many sacrifices will be made at the Temple so that the priests will have a feast with their portion. It is also a symbol of life and prosperity (Psalm 36; 63; Isaiah 55).
